Mehek Soanes

Certified Practising Counsellor (PACFA), GradDipCouns,MCounsPsych.

Hello! I’m a Certified Practising Counsellor registered with PACFA, and I’m here to offer a safe and supportive space where you can feel truly heard. Whether you’re navigating a challenging time or exploring new paths, I’m here to help you uncover your strengths and create meaningful change.

With a Master of Counselling and Psychotherapy and a Graduate Diploma of Counselling from the Australian College of Applied Professions, I bring a solid foundation to my work. I also hold certifications in First Aid & CPR, the CALM Suicide Safety Course, and have a Working with Children Check—because your safety and wellbeing are my top priorities.

My Approach

I believe therapy should be as unique as you are. Each person’s journey is different, and I’m committed to creating a therapeutic experience that honors your individuality. Together, we’ll explore your challenges at a pace that feels right for you, building a path toward growth, healing, and self-discovery.

Values of Inclusivity and Respect

I’m especially passionate about cultivating a practice where everyone feels seen, respected, and valued. As a person of color, I’m deeply committed to inclusivity and cultural competency. I continuously learn about anti-racism, body liberation, and anti-oppressive practices to bring a more informed and compassionate perspective to each session. My goal is for every client to feel understood and supported, regardless of their background.

A Safe Space for Your Story

If this sounds like the kind of support you’re looking for, I’d be honored to be part of your journey. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or are ready to book a session. Let’s embark on this journey together toward a more fulfilling and balanced life.

What Does A Counsellor/ Psychotherapist Do?

A counsellor or psychotherapist offers a safe, confidential space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Through conversation and tailored therapeutic techniques, I can help you navigate personal challenges, build resilience, and foster personal growth.

Whether you’re dealing with stress, looking for guidance, or simply need someone to listen, my role is to support you on your journey to self-discovery and healing. Together, we’ll work towards understanding your unique story and finding the best path forward for you.
